Domaine De La Choupette Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru "Morgeot" Pinot Noir 2020 (750ml)
- The Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru ""Morgeot"" plot lies mid-slope with a south-easterly exposure.
- Manual harvest. Usage of a sorting table, destemming and fermentation in stainless steel thermoregulated vats.
- Appearance: bright ruby color
- Nose: complex nose with cherry, almond paste and undergrowth aromas.
- Palate: Well-structured and balanced, elegant tannins are present on a long finish. To be kept in the cellar for 5 to 6 years.
- Ageing in oak barrels (half new, half used) for 12 months
Domaine De La Choupette Maranges Vieilles Vignes 2020 (750ml)
- Classic Puligny, fine, with old-vine concentration, stony bright, with a fresh tonic acidity which makes the finish all the longer and juicier.
Surh Cellars Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast 2018 (750ml)
- Though it seems like a one note wine initially, it reveals itself with aromas of rose petals, maraschino cherry and vanilla.
- In the glass, it shows compelling flavors of black cherry, rhubarb, black tea and subtle but long toast.
- It is a well focused, medium bodied, easier sipping wine. While it may not have the intensity of some of our pinots, it shows plenty of depth.
- Aged in less new French oak, it is ready now for your enjoyment to accompany dishes such as grilled fish, paella, duck confit, fava beans or most vegetarian dishes.
- It should effortlessly age for 5-7 years but long gone sooner most likely.
Surh Cellars Pinot Noir Thornton Vineyard Sonoma Coast 2017 (750ml)
- For those of you who find Pinot Noir too light and simple, this is for you.
- It's a dark, ripe, lush, big fruit wine. It could easily be mistaken for a Bordeaux varietal but it is a 100% Pinot Noir.
- It approaches the far end of the ripe and oaky spectrum. Like our 2016, aromas of forest floor, black cherry, raspberry liqueur all point to a sweet core of ripe fruit and wood. We shall see how it ages but it shows well NOW.
- If our Cabernets call for a red meat, so does this Pinot Noir, except it has much more versatility as it can work just as easy with fish or a salad topped with roasted vegetables. We would almost call it a comfort Pinot Noir, not a bad thing to sip on these uncertain days.
Tikves Lepovo Pinot Noir 2018 (750ml)
- Colour: Deep ruby
- Intensive aroma of sweet spices like cacao, nutmeg and Nose: cinnamon smoky notes, cherry compote, dry apricots, black plum, tartuffe, liquorice
- Palate: Dry red elegant wine with full body, rich taste and long finish
Tenuta Fornace Pinot Noir IGP (Organic & Vegan) 2014 (750ml)
- Colour: Bright ruby red with crimson highlights.
- Bouquet: Cyclamen, Cherry, Plum, Blueberry, Strawberry, Raspberry, Vanilla.
- Taste: Slightly tannic, sour, spicy, however balanced by alcohol, good body, intense flavors.
- Food matching: Pasta with meat sauces, Steaks, Savory sheep milk cheeses
